Guess what i have. A bike! i'm so happy with it. It's a plain white mountain bike, and it's got a basket on the front and a thing on the back to put stuff on and mud flaps on the wheels. The seats a bit high, but i can fix that. and i'm gonna get a bell i think. would proberly be a good idea, i'm not to steady on it yet, havn't ridden a bike in years, and although i remember the basic princable, i'm not exactly gracful.
have had fun with it so far though. picked it up from shrewsbury yesterday evening, rode it back to the train station (apart from the big hill, which i pushed it up, but i did get to go down the big hill aswell) had a bit of trouble getting the thing on to the train, but managed in the end, and then rode it back to the hospital from gobowen station.
will ride into oswestry after work today. so happy i don't have to rely on busses anymore. i'z has wheels.

um, not done much else this week to be honest. went to wrexham on saturday, not that impressed, but i did get really cheap fruit at a market there, oh, and i got the Lord of the rings boxset from £8. i don't think i was really paying attention when i watched it the first time when it came out. i was to bussy giggling about the homoerotic tention bettween sam and frodo, but now i have re-watched them all, i can appretiate how great those films are.
lord of the rings, a plate of rice and beans and a whole world of knitting; thats what my evenings are made of at the momment, how rock-and-roll am i. i've got two scarves i'm knitting at the momment, a big grey one, made from thin wool, it's a little scragly looking, bit in a sort of 'it's suposes to look sraggly' way.
the other is a black one made from thick soft wool, i had to get new knitting needles for that one. can't wait till there finished.

works been a little slow this week, which is why i'm writing this at half 11, on a thursday morning. i id a test for the hospital, and i'll do another one after lunch. did some lab work to do with the stem cells, oh, and got to have fun with liquid nitrogen on tuesday. there's a big barrel of it in one of the store rooms that some samples of bone marrow cells are kept, and i went with one of the post doc. girls to collect soem from there. it was cold (obviosly) and smokey and i was very tempted to put my hand in it, but mamaged to ressist.

think i am finaly settled in the nurses home. have meet more people, started talking to some guy called sam, and this student nurse called maddie, (who is pretty, but with a very thin face)she's really friendly. there is one guy who creeps me out a but, and i've started locking my door at night, but otherwuse every thing is fine.

oh, on sunday i made tasty, tasty brownies for the poeple i work with. chocolate chips (dairy free, of cause) and apple sauce (instead of butter) and choco powder, and vanilla extract and stuff. they came out really goey, the kind that stick to every part of you mouth. i'm really happy that the oven didn't destroy it, so i should be ok for baking when i'm here.

going to emma's on saturday, so looking forward to it. need a city, civilisationa dn diversity and disstance between me and farmers. i went for a walk on monday and you wouldn't beleive how many farms there are around here, all you see is cows and sheep and horses and crops of, stuff. i think i might try my hand at scrumping while i'm up here, might aswell.

um, yeah, i think thats it. oh, my boss is back, he says that he's impressed with my enthusiasm, which pleases me. oh, and my herd plants are growing like wild fire.

miss you,
